Queen & Ashbridge is a mixed-tenure residential community bringing condominium, market rental and affordable housing together near Toronto’s eastern waterfront.The project features architecture by Teeple Architects and Turner Fleischer, with thoughtfully designed interiors and amenity by Mason Studio.

Sunprotection Group manufactured Infinity Series Dynamic-Lift® manual and motorized roller shades, supporting solar control, occupant privacy, comfort, and a refined consistent design throughout the residential and amenity spaces.

SOLUTION

Custom dual and single recessed motorized shades in pocket. ORS-140 Motorized Dual and Single Roller Systems providing both nighttime privacy and daytime transparency featuring our DynaBar® self-adjusting hembar. All motorized single and tandem multi-banded shades are custom manufactured and fully integrated within the ceiling pocket system.

PROJECT

The City of Toronto's new multi-use Community Recreation and Child Care Centre in Scarborough’s Joyce Trimmer Park. The facility is the City’s first net-zero energy and emissions community recreation facility. It features a 25-metre lap pool and leisure pool, a full-size gymnasium that is large enough to accommodate an indoor cricket pitch, child care centre, and more. The park was upgraded with various outdoor amenities, including the addition of a skateboard park and multiple outdoor play spaces.

SOLUTION

Upper Glazing Sections: Sunprotection Group Infinity XL80 Motorized Shade System, featuring single shade units approximately 16ft wide x 19ft high. These shades utilize a robust aluminum extruded tube, stainless steel plates, corrosion-resistant ball bearings, brass idlers, and lock-in slots for a secure, durable system.

Lower Glazing Sections: Sunprotection Group XTR C-115Z Motorized Exterior Shade System, with shades approximately 16ft wide x 10ft high. Designed to withstand high ventilation pressure, these shades feature fabric retained in side channels via a welded fabric retainer. Obstacle-detection motors prevent damage, while ScreenWeave® fabric ensures durability, light filtering, and complete privacy.

PROJECT

The Carmen Corbasson Community Centre Expansion, designed by Diamond Schmitt Architects for the City of Mississauga, transforms the facility through a comprehensive renovation and a modern addition. The project elevates recreation services with a new fitness centre, aquatics centre, and multi-purpose spaces, alongside upgrades to the existing indoor arena. Enhanced accessibility, sustainable design standards, and improved connectivity to the Mississauga Seniors' Centre ensure the centre meets contemporary community needs while prioritizing environmental responsibility.

PROJECT

The Hazel McCallion Central Library revitalization project is a major interior renovation to all five floors of the existing Central Library in the Mississauga core downtown area. The new library will provide for public collections; a library cafe; flexible event space; bookable meeting space; teen area; children and family areas; a municipal business enterprise center; exhibition space; the refurbished Noel Ryan auditorium; flexible areas for open study, staff administrative spaces; and a new technology-focused digital hub with facilities for events, lectures and seminars; and active creation spaces.

SOLUTION

Open-Roll System with Manual Dynamic-Lift Chain preassembled on a shade holder aluminum profile. Motorized Roller System with Fascia preassembled on a shade holder aluminum profile. Fascia profile engages to mechanically pressed metal pins for maximum security and lock.

PROJECT

A 29-storey tower and two rows of three-storey townhouses have been built at the northwest corner of River and Shuter streets in Toronto as part of The Daniels Corporation and the City of Toronto's Regent Park Revitalization project. The tower features 346 market-rate rental units, while the townhouses offer 24 condominium suites.
